DRAWING2 FINAL

I got my drawing 2 final done! Three 18"x24" panels, Acrylic, chalk, Gauche and Graphite. It took much much longer then it should have and I feel like I rushed the end, mostly because I organized my time wrong. Doing this piece made me realize i want to do more work with Acrylic and Graphite and less work with chalk(I'm getting bored of the look).

~EYE OF THE TIGER~

-Today i started another painting, mediums, Acrylics, chalk, charcoal, and Montana. It was on a Wooden board 3'x9'. I have no idea what im gonna do with all these giant wooden paintings...Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FIRST OFFICIAL WESTART COLLABO

Our blog is about to become official!!

MassArt has decided to let us work on our blog as a work study. We'll be blogging about our experiences and thoughts on the school and city, as well as posting our art and class work.

In preparation for that we're creating a new collab piece. It's going to be 18" x 24" using mixed media (acrylic, spray paint, ink, chalk, colored pencil). To give you a hint on what to expect from it, think in the realm of self portraits.

DO YOU KNOW WHATS INSIDE A ROBOT?

....Well we're about to find out. Recently WestArt was invited by local Artist Fish Mcgill to take part in a huge group project entitled, "Robot G.U.T.S.*: What's Inside?". Along with Fish and other artists we will be helping to create the guts of a 12-14 foot robot drawing in the Brant Gallery in the South Hall of Massart. The project will begin the first week of Feb and end on, and I swear this is the weirdest coincidence, the brithday date we share with Fish Feb.25!

sorry there havent been any posts as of late, we've been on break and headed back to Cali to get some warm sun shine. twas very nice. but now we're back and we've got lots of art to show and talk about. so stay tuned for pics and process photos.
